4 Car Garage with no Room to Expand

As a comedian and a talk show host, I can't stand Jay Leno.  I've never found him to be particularly funny.  Especially, after being brought up with Johnny Carson.  But, the man is a petrol head and he knows cars.  I am absolutely jealous that he owns the warehouses of cars that he does.  In fact, I can't say that I know anyone who wouldn't want to be able to own whatever car they want.  But, since we won't ever be Leno (unless some miracle happens, though I can't say I would want his chin) we can't be afforded that luxury.  However, I thought of a bit of a challenge for myself and my fellow petrol heads.

If you could own ANY and ONLY 4 cars what would they be?

Now, this took a little bit for me to hammer out.  For those of you who are familiar with me, I love BMW and I love M3s so naturally that was first and foremost in my mind.  I've been obsessed with 911s since my Uncle bought me a 1985 911 3.2 Carrerra Cabriolet at the age of 1.  That was my car obsession-genesis.  So, you can believe a 911 is on my list of cars I must own.  Coincidentally it is also on my wife's list of cars to own.  That may have been one of the many reasons I fell in love with her.  Or, how after one lesson she was driving a manual better than I...  But I digress.  There are plenty of cars that I have a reason to love and be obsessed over so narrowing it down was difficult.  However, if I only can own 4 it would have to be:

1. BMW E61 M5 Touring
While I know it never came stateside, with money there is always a way.  What other car would be as much fun to drive while bringing home stacks of flat-packed Swedish crap?

2. Porsche 997.5 Turbo
Doesn't everyone want a completely insane two-door sports car that they can barrel down the road to Hell at 200 MPH with?  No? Ok, just me.

3. 1961 Chevy Impala SS
Very few cars are as American Muscle as this car.  Truthfully, I had trouble choosing between this and a 1968 Hemi Cuda.  Both of these cars represented everything that was great about the American car industry.

4. BMW E92 M3
As if you're surprised by this selection.  I can't think of any car I would rather drive on a daily basis.

Sure, there were a number of cars I wanted to add to this list.  The Lotus Elise, the Evora, or the Exige could easily be on the list.  I love the WRX STi, the Audi C6 S6 Avant, any Lambo from the Diablo to the Aventador, Porsche 356, Audi R8, the original Merc 300SL, Nissan GT-R, Bentley Continental GT and on and on and on.  There are just so many fantastic cars in the world.

So many cars, so little time.

And money.

Maybe I should start working on my stand-up material and wait for Leno to retire.  Again.
