Free BMW gear and a special surprise

No, the surprise is not the chicken (who's name is Sparkles) sitting on my wife's shoulder.  And just to be clear, no chickens were harmed in the taking of this photo.  I've decided it was high time to host another contest here on Six Speed and Caffeine.  This was inspired by the overwhelming support of my readers here on the site from Bimmerfest, Twitter, Facebook, etc.  Truly, it is humbling how well received this site has been so far.  I cannot thank you enough.  You are the reason I keep writing.  But, I'm going to try to thank you in one way I know that I can.

As you may have gathered from my posts, I am a huge car nut especially when it comes to BMW and I drink MASSIVE amounts of coffee throughout the day (and review different coffee brands).  These are two things that are constantly in my life in which I can share with you all.  Because let's be honest, no matter how open of a society we have, offers of sharing my wife would not really go over well.  Plus, she'd shoot me if I treated her as property.  Unless maybe for my Utah readers.  Sorry, poor taste.  Apologies to those folks in Utah.  You guys are ok in my book.  That being said.  Here's what's at stake.  I have two BMW travel mugs with your name on it in my office.  Perfect for those of you who like a good beverage on the go (non-alcoholic of course) and perfect for you BMW fans.  Not you may be saying to yourself, well that's a bit corny.  Everyone gives out tumblers.  Well since I love to share my passions with you, I am also going to throw in a bag of my favorite coffee(s) to the winners.  Yep, that's right, winners.  There will be two winners selected and each winner will receive a tumbler and a bag of coffee (not that Folger's BS either).  No strings attached.

Now you may be asking yourself, what's the catch?  There is none.  All you have to do is comment on this post with what your favorite caffeine or fuel source is.  If you have a specific brand of coffee, rattle it off.  If you are tea guy or gal, let me know what it is.  And even if you don't drink caffeine, what do you drink instead?  Just let it be known in the comment section.

Simple as that.  I will be picking the winners at random from all of the commenters who leave their favorite beverage in the thread.  Please make sure not to comment as anonymous.  Pick a name for yourself, use your Google id, whatever as long as you make it so that I can find out who you are and shoot you an email to congratulate you and get your details so that you can win your prize.

Of course, there's a way to up your chances of winning.  If you follow or like one of my social media sites and share this link on there, that will qualify you for an additional entry in the drawing.  Simply Tweet, post on Facebook, share on Google+ or take a goofy photo with the link imbedded in Instagram and make sure you tag me.  Each of the four social sites are good for an additional drawing.  This means you could have your name in the hat up to 5 times total.  Prizes will be restricted to one per person so that two people can feel the love!

If you are unsure where to find me on my social sites check out the following:

Find me on Twitter @muellersj
Find me on Google+ @Steven Mueller
Like the Six Speed and Caffeine Facebook page
Follow me on Instagram for gratuitous car pics (no food porn, I promise)

Now the quick formalities.  Anyone within the United States or Canada can enter the contest.  Sorry my Euro friends, I can't afford to ship you the goods.  Next time though I'll have a contest you can get in on.  Anyone can enter except for my wife.  I know that sounds harsh but it would be a bit weird if she won.  Besides, she's not a big coffee drinker.  This does mean my friends and family can enter, but you're not going to let them win, are you?  The contest will be open for entry from 09/11/2013 until 09/18/2013 at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard

So enter if you want to win and make sure to get your name in the hat up to 5 times!  I promise you that the gear will be worth your time.

  6. Perfect timing...I broke my favorite travel mug this morning!

I've recently become a HUGE fan of La Colombe Coffee from Philadelphia. The owner is the "star" of the show Dangerous Grounds. Anyways, every blend I've tried has been excellent, and they often have rotating exclusives from some amazing locations around the world. To top it off, its not too expensive at $10 per bag, but you have to order it online if you're not in Philly. Enjoy!

  7. NICE! I'll have to check them out. I like a local Baltimore company called Zeke's that's also reasonably priced and they make a good bean.

    Good luck in the contest!

  9. I actually got a screamin' deal on Folger's recently. Staples must've been clearing out some stock because I scored 10 33.-whatever ounce plastic tubs of it for $4.99 each. But I had to make 10 different orders to do so, because adding any more than one to your cart would be regular WTF price. I gave a couple of the tubs to one of my neighbors.

Anyway, I don't just drink Folger's, I cut the good coffee with it! I currently mix in some LaVazza CREMA e GUSTO espresso mix that I ordered the hell out of when Amazon was running a special.

Damn, I'm down to my last two bags of that, I may have to set an alert for any and all decent coffee sales...

    1. To the GOOGLE MACHINE! Must find a good deal. What kind of flavor do you get out of it by cutting the Folgers with the good stuff?

    2. Before this I had a (forget the brand name) Vanilla flavoured coffee I was mixing in which gave it an aroma if not a taste of it before I switched to the LaVazza.

My dad drinks his coffee black and I don't, so I asked him, he said it makes the coffee stronger and maybe gives it a hint of vanilla.

      From the package it shows 70% Robusta & 30 %Arabica, and it's a Dark roast. They also have a bean rating with Aroma - 3beans, Body - 5beans, & Intensity - 4beans.

Now as to how I adulterate my coffee, Starting with 3/4 mug full of coffee, I put 1 tsp sugar, 2 flavored creamer (1 splash) & top with 2% milk. I like what I put in my mouth to taste good.
